The NSS Unit of GHSS Vettathur organized an essential Census 2027 Self Enumeration Orientation Class on 25 June 2026. The session aimed to educate volunteers about the upcoming national census, digital self-enumeration methods, public awareness strategies, and effective community engagement.

Over 50 NSS volunteers attended this mandatory session. By mastering the digital tools and procedures involved, our volunteers were equipped to act as ambassadors of the Census 2027 program, ensuring that local families can participate seamlessly in this vital national exercise.

Event Overview

At 3:00 PM, the NSS Unit of GHSS Vettathur organized a Census 2027 Self Enumeration Orientation Class to create awareness among students and the local community about India's upcoming Census 2027 self-enumeration process.

The session, led by Master Trainer Mr. Suresh Babu Karakunnummal, aimed to educate volunteers about digital self-enumeration methods, public awareness strategies, and effective community engagement to ensure no citizen is left uncounted.

Anti-Drug Pledge

One of the most significant moments of the event was the Anti-Drug Pledge administered by the Excise Officer. Students, teachers, and volunteers collectively pledged to:

  • Stay away from drugs and all addictive substances, and encourage peers to do the same.

  • Promote healthy habits, responsible behaviour, and positive life choices in daily life.

  • Support future awareness initiatives and become ambassadors of change within the community.

  • Encourage friends and family to lead drug-free lives and contribute to a safer, healthier society.

The pledge was administered by the Excise Officer and taken collectively by all 70+ participants of the campaign.

Participation in the Census is the gateway to accurate representation, fair resource allocation, and a stronger nation.

Every book opens a new world of ideas, values, and opportunities.
